Bitcoin (BTC) users paid an estimated $20.96 million in transaction fees in the third quarter of 2026, while the amount collected in BTC peaked in August before falling in September. Monthly fees totaled 94.1523 BTC in July and 98.4015 BTC in August. They then declined to 87.5343 BTC in September, below both earlier monthly totals. The quarter’s dollar estimate and these monthly figures express fees in different units. Transaction fees are paid to miners who include transactions in Bitcoin blocks.
