Privacy
You can read everything on BeCrypto News without an account. This page explains what we keep when you register, write or contact us.
What we collect
- Accounts: your name, email address and a scrambled form of your password (we cannot read it).
- Articles: what you write and send to the editors, and their decision.
- Forms: what you type into the contact and advertising forms.
- Security: your IP address is kept for up to 24 hours to stop abuse of the forms.
Cookies and storage
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also remembers your light or dark choice and an unsent draft. If the site owner turns on Google Analytics, Google sets its own cookies to count visits.
We email you to confirm your address and about your articles. We never sell or share your email.
Pictures and links
Story pictures load from the publisher's own website, which may see that your browser loaded them. Links to stories take you to other sites with their own privacy rules.
We don't sell your data
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in California law. Banners on the site are images we host; they don't track you.
Your rights
Ask us through the contact page to see, correct or delete your account and data. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas) have these rights by law, and we offer them to everyone. Published reader articles can be taken down on request.
Children
The site is for adults. Accounts are for people 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
