L2BEAT, an Ethereum Layer 2 data platform, has adopted the name ETHBEAT as its work broadens across the Ethereum ecosystem, while keeping Layer 2 monitoring among its core responsibilities. ETHBEAT’s expanded scope includes privacy, cross-chain interoperability, tokens, zero-knowledge proofs, native rollups and changes to Ethereum’s base layer. Liquid staking is a planned addition. Layer 2 remains a major focus, though it is no longer the platform’s only area of coverage. The project began more than five years ago to document the fast-growing Layer 2 sector. Its dashboards first tracked total value locked, then shifted to total value secured and added activity measures. ETHBEAT plans to apply its transparency and review methods across more of the Ethereum ecosystem and work with other Ethereum organizations.
