Blast shuts down Ethereum layer-2, users have until Nov. 2027 to reclaim funds

Blast has deactivated its Ethereum layer-2 network and launched a recovery website for users to reclaim any remaining funds. Users have until November 4, 2027, to submit claims and retrieve Ethereum or USDB tokens still held within Blast wallets, pending withdrawals, or through Blast Mobile. The recovery website enables users to search for eligible addresses that held ETH, wrapped ETH, or USDB on Blast. Owners of smart wallets or Safes approved to claim for these addresses can also initiate the recovery process. According to the team, claims are fulfilled directly via smart contracts on the Ethereum mainnet. For Blast Mobile users, since these addresses never existed on Ethereum, recovery requires importing the app’s seed phrase into compatible wallets such as MetaMask or Rabby.
