Bitcoin ETF Outflows Reach $614.7 Million Through Oct. 16

Bitcoin (BTC) traded near $81,000 Sunday as U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $614.7 million in net outflows through Oct. 16, leaving demand a central test for the $100,000 case. The outflow total covers trading from Oct. 1 through Oct. 16 and excludes the next U.S. session on Oct. 19. Flows were not negative every day: the funds recorded net inflows on six of the 12 trading days, but withdrawals on other sessions left the period’s total below zero. Consumer prices rose 0.6% in September from August on a seasonally adjusted basis and 3.7% from a year earlier. The annual increase was 3.4% through August. The latest monthly reading and the year-over-year rate provide additional context for markets ahead of the Federal Reserve’s next meeting.
