Tether and CMCC Global’s Titan Fund have invested in Saber Money as the stablecoin payments company plans to expand cross-border services across Asia-Pacific and the Gulf. The investment will support expansion, including local licensing and banking partnerships. Saber also plans to strengthen existing payment routes. The investment amount and the investors’ ownership stakes were not disclosed. Separately, Saber plans to expand into business payments, including supplier bills and international transfers for companies. A business payment can involve more than a stablecoin transfer: currency conversion, local banking access and compliance checks can also be part of the process. Its payment volume grew more than sixfold over the past nine months, and it processes billions of dollars in payments across more than 40 countries.
