NEAR Gains More Than 12% as Sunrise Expands Solana Market Access

NEAR Protocol (NEAR) gained more than 12% over 24 hours on Friday, Oct. 16, as a Sunrise rollout expanded trading access for NEAR Intents assets in Solana markets. On launch day, NEAR trading on Solana recorded about $11.4 million in 24-hour volume and roughly $819,000 in netflow. Futures activity picked up, while retail participation increased in spot markets. NEAR-linked exchange-traded funds (ETFs) also recorded $1.13 million in daily inflows during the period. The gain leaves holders with unrealized profits, which could create room for profit-taking.
