The USDC Treasury burned 134,607,973 USD Coin (USDC) on Oct. 13, reducing the stablecoin’s circulating supply. USDC is issued by Circle and pegged to the U.S. dollar. The stablecoin is used across cryptocurrency transactions and decentralized finance applications. The burn came after a $139.5 million USDC mint reported on Oct. 9 . The USDC Treasury manages the token’s minting and redemption process. The transaction marks another documented change in USDC’s supply in October, alongside the Oct. 9 mint.
