Singapore Regulator Lists Capital.com Unit as a Markets Licensee

Image: TokenPost

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) lists CAPITAL COM SECURITIES (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD., Capital.com’s Singapore unit, as a Capital Markets Services licensee, authorizing several regulated financial activities in the city-state. The directory shows permissions to deal in securities, collective investment schemes and over-the-counter derivatives contracts, as well as to provide custodial services. Singapore’s Securities and Futures Act requires companies to hold a Capital Markets Services license for activities regulated under the law. The entry names Tony Lim, recorded in the directory as LIM EAN HIEN TONY, as the unit’s chief executive. It does not state when the license took effect or when Lim was appointed. The listed permissions do not name crypto-related products. The directory entry does not establish whether the company offers any crypto-related products.
