World Pitches Financial Firms on Human-Verification Tools

Image: TokenPost

World is pitching banks and other financial firms on a three-part identity package that pairs human checks for Zoom calls with credentials users can delegate to AI agents to counter deepfakes and impersonation. World co-founder Alex Blania introduced the package, called World ID for banking and finance, at Money20/20 in Las Vegas, which runs Oct. 18-21. The package marks World ID’s first focus on a single industry. The bundle includes the World ID app, where users store and present credentials called Proofs; World ID for Zoom, which checks whether a person on a video call is the verified human; and World ID for Agents, which lets users delegate their credentials to an AI agent. The agent tool began as AgentKit, launched with Coinbase in March and expanded in June.
