Strategy, the digital asset holding company led by Michael Saylor, announced an increase in its authorized buyback of preferred securities to $3 billion after recently spending $193.1 million on STRC share repurchases. This buyback amount is nearly nine times the $22.1 million that Strategy allocated to Bitcoin purchases in the same period. The board of Strategy approved an additional $1 billion for its Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program, boosting the total authorization from $2 billion to $3 billion. This expanded program focuses exclusively on the company’s preferred securities, which include STRC, STRF, STRK, and STRD, and does not cover purchases of the ordinary MSTR common shares. In the latest reporting period, Strategy bought back 1,938,780 STRC shares, valued at $193.1 million.
