South Korea’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) disclosed Wednesday, Oct. 14, that breaches had affected 16 financial institutions, including Streami, the operator of crypto exchange GOPAX, and virtual asset service provider Prabang. About 100,000 records of personal information were leaked. The exposed data included names, contact details, resident registration numbers and email addresses. Emergency security checks of 555 financial institutions found management gaps at 130. The issues included delays in installing security patches and a lack of round-the-clock security monitoring.
