Monad Proposes Protocol-Level Scheduled Transactions to Eliminate Keeper Dependence

Monad has introduced a proposal to integrate scheduled transactions directly into its protocol , allowing smart contracts to execute future operations without relying on external services known as keepers . Currently, many blockchain applications depend on these services to trigger recurring payments, update funding rates, or execute specific operations. If a keeper goes offline, runs out of funds to cover transaction fees, or experiences an outage, automated tasks can stop running .
