LayerZero Announces Zero Mainnet Launch for November 30

Image: TronWeekly

LayerZero has scheduled November 30 for the launch of its Zero mainnet and ATLAS trading infrastructure. Open ATLAS will debut with more than a dozen trading venues, giving partners access to a shared trading engine without requiring each to build an exchange. This is based on an announcement from August, which pushed the launch into a later part of the year. The plan was for LayerZero to consolidate order matching, clearing, and settlement under a single trading platform. ATLAS works as a “headless exchange” based on its official documents. This protocol does not offer any trading application for consumers. In contrast, third-party venues have access, distribution, and trading interfaces. ATLAS’ infrastructure distinguishes three activities. Venues bring users to the trading platform, market creators create markets, and market makers create liquidity.
