Injective, a blockchain protocol designed for decentralized finance (DeFi) derivatives trading, announced that its real-world asset (RWA) perpetual markets have surpassed $1.1 billion in trading volume so far in 2026. The platform’s latest figures indicate over $230 million in trading activity within the past month alone, with this growth covering a broad range of asset categories including equities, forex, commodities, indices, and pre-IPO markets. The RWA perpetuals offered by Injective provide traders with exposure to various traditional financial assets on-chain, using perpetual contracts that do not have fixed expiration dates. This differentiates them from standard futures contracts found in traditional finance. This milestone signals progress in Injective’s mission to bring regulated market infrastructure onto the blockchain ecosystem and support trading beyond cryptocurrency-native assets.
