The encrypted computation layer lets smart contracts work with hidden balances and positions, starting with a permissioned rollout and five retail apps Fhenix says its CoFHE coprocessor is now running in production on Ethereum and Arbitrum . Smart contracts on both networks can now operate on encrypted balances and positions. According to the project, CoFHE went live on the Ethereum and Arbitrum mainnets on October 21, 2026. The name is short for an FHE coprocessor, with FHE standing for fully homomorphic encryption. Fhenix says developers can tap into this with a single line of Solidity import. Privacy tooling has historically asked developers to learn new languages, new chains, or both. The coprocessor does its heavy lifting off-chain. It then sends encrypted results back to the host EVM chain.
