Visa has partnered with Mesh to enable crypto payments across more than 175 million merchant locations worldwide. The October 19 announcement outlines a service that lets consumers spend cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances directly from supported wallets without obtaining separate payment cards. The alliance includes Visa’s acceptance network in over 200 countries and territories. The companies have not revealed any launch date as yet or the list of wallets and devices that will be supported. Payment processing and currency exchange will be managed by Mesh. In the process, participating digital wallets would be linked to Mesh’s payments system, with customers making payments using their current balance of either cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, or fiat via contactless payments and online payments.
