CME Group Lists Uniswap Futures in Two Different Contract Sizes

Image: TokenPost

Uniswap (UNI) futures are live on CME Group for the Oct. 19 trade date, adding a regulated derivatives product tied to a decentralized finance token to the exchange’s cryptocurrency lineup. Standard futures cover 10,000 UNI per contract, while Micro futures cover 1,000 UNI. The Micro contract represents one-tenth as many tokens as the standard version, a difference of 9,000 UNI per contract. The two sizes give participants a choice of contract amounts while keeping both products tied to the same asset. UNI is the governance token of the Uniswap Protocol, a decentralized exchange. The futures listing widens institutional access to derivatives tied to decentralized finance through a regulated U.S. market. The contracts provide exposure to UNI, rather than to the Uniswap Protocol as a whole.
