Ethereum has consolidated its leading role in the rapidly expanding real-world asset (RWA) sector, as tokenization activity intensifies across blockchain networks. Market intelligence platform Token Terminal reported the total RWA market capitalization has climbed to $46.3 billion, with Ethereum representing the largest share among blockchains. Token Terminal data shows that the RWA market cap rose by 947.6% over the past three years. This surge reflects a growing trend of representing traditional assets—such as securities, investment funds, and commodities—on blockchain networks to facilitate faster settlements and easier transferability. Ethereum, the leading smart contract platform, stands out in this sector due to its well-established infrastructure and key role in decentralized finance (DeFi). This has provided an effective foundation for developing and supporting a diverse range of tokenized assets.
