Binance Ether Funding Rate Eases After Reaching -0.0106% on Oct. 31

Image: TokenPost

Binance’s Ether (ETH) perpetual-futures funding rate on the ETHUSDT contract was -0.0106% at 4 a.m. ET Saturday (08:00 UTC) and moved closer to zero by evening, while remaining negative through the latest listed settlement. At noon ET Saturday (16:00 UTC), the rate was -0.0036%. By 8 p.m. ET (00:00 UTC Sunday), it had eased further to -0.0031%. Each reading reflects a completed eight-hour settlement. A negative funding rate means holders of short positions pay holders of long positions. The rate describes the direction of payments between futures traders; it does not show how many accounts are on either side. Enna Lee reports on investing and digital-asset markets for TokenPost.
