Amundi launches tokenized STOXX Europe 600 fund on Ethereum

Amundi, recognized as Europe’s largest asset manager by portfolio size, has announced the launch of a tokenized share class for its STOXX Europe 600 equity index fund on the Ethereum blockchain. This development follows Amundi’s earlier ventures into blockchain-based fund vehicles and marks its first foray beyond tokenized money market funds. The new share class was created in partnership with CACEIS, a major European asset-servicing provider, which supplied the tokenization infrastructure needed for the launch. Despite the introduction of blockchain-based shares, Amundi confirmed that investors could still access the fund through traditional channels. The STOXX Europe 600 Index, which the fund tracks, represents a wide cross-section of large, mid, and small-cap companies across developed European markets. This index offers broad exposure to the continent’s equity landscape.
