Zcash Draft Would Send 50,000 ZEC to Future Miner Rewards

A joint draft by Sean Bowe, Zooko Wilcox and Jason McGee would require a 50,000 ZEC transfer to a reserve for future miner rewards, 13,800 ZEC above Zcash Community Grants’ withdrawn plan. The proposal would end the 8% share of Zcash (ZEC) block rewards allocated to ZCG and direct that stream to a Future Dev and Legal Defense Fund lockbox. It would also require ZCG to transfer 50,000 ZEC to the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM), a protocol reserve for future miner payouts. Bowe is with Tachyon Group; Wilcox and McGee are with Shielded Labs. The proposed NSM transfer is 13,800 ZEC more than the 36,200 ZEC treasury transfer in ZCG’s withdrawn plan .
