Wintermute Sends $90.38 Million in Bitcoin to Three New Wallets

Image: TokenPost

Three newly created wallets received 1,090 Bitcoin (BTC) from Wintermute, a transfer valued at about $90.38 million that draws attention to a large movement of coins from the crypto market maker. The BTC went to three fresh addresses. Its estimated value at the time of transfer works out to about $82,900 per coin. That figure describes the value of the Bitcoin moved; it does not establish that a purchase took place at that price. Wintermute supplies liquidity to crypto markets, making a transfer of this size relevant to traders tracking large holders. The movement shows where the coins went, but it does not identify who controls the receiving wallets. Three addresses also do not necessarily mean three separate owners.
