One Bitcoin User Spends About $46 Messaging Binance Hack Wallets

A Bitcoin (BTC) user has paid about $46 to send repeated pleas to 19 wallets tied to the Binance hack, turning small blockchain transfers into messages that have drawn no response. The sender sent the same appeal to each wallet in three rounds, paying about 1,000 satoshis per wallet per round, or roughly 78 cents per transfer. The total came to about $46, including fees. Bitcoin’s OP_RETURN feature lets users embed text in transactions, preserving messages on the blockchain. Other senders used transfers to pitch tokens, request donations or suggest swaps through THORChain. One message urged the wallet holders not to return funds to Binance founder CZ. A self-described Turkish crypto influencer promoted a token and asked the wallet controllers for a donation to support its ecosystem.
