ChangeNOW Executive Describes Bitcoin Cross-Chain Integration Talks

ChangeNOW Director of Strategic Partnerships Martin Masser described exploratory talks with an unnamed prospective partner seeking Bitcoin (BTC) cross-chain capabilities, while saying partnerships should address a defined product need and have agreed measures of success. “I don’t like the point of doing a partnership for the sake of a partnership,” Masser said. He cited deeper liquidity, cross-chain functions and access to unsupported chains as possible reasons for companies to work together. He also called vague references to “synergies” a warning sign when people cannot explain what they mean. Masser said the prospective partner needed Bitcoin cross-chain capabilities and that the sides had started exploring an integration. He did not describe a signed agreement or a launched feature. ChangeNOW began as a crypto-swapping service in 2017.
