Image: Crypto Briefing

Leveraged longs took the brunt of the selloff as spot Bitcoin ETF outflows and a weaker Nasdaq weighed on risk appetite Bitcoin slipped under $76,000 for the first time since mid-September. Nearly $250 million in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated on the way down. The drop played out over November 3 and 4, 2026, with Bitcoin printing lows in the mid-$76,000 range before breaking below the $76,000 mark. It traded at times between $76,400 and $76,700, down around 2% on the day. Broader tallies of the crypto market put total liquidations at approximately $366 million. About $100 million of that was tied to Bitcoin positions specifically. Long positions made up roughly 70% of the total. Translation: the people wiped out were mostly the ones betting prices would keep climbing.
