Bitcoin Long-Term Holder Supply Falls 300,000 BTC Since August

Image: TokenPost

At 5:01 a.m. ET (09:01 UTC) Sunday, Oct. 25, Bitcoin (BTC) traded at $80,325 as long-term-holder supply stood 300,000 BTC below its August level, with four-hour momentum below neutral. The cohort stood at about 15.6 million BTC, compared with roughly 14 million in December 2025. Long-term holders are defined as investors whose coins have been held for more than 155 days, so the figures show a longer-term increase alongside the decline since August. The cohort’s 30-day average supply change was minus 195,000 BTC. That measure accounts for coins leaving the group and coins aging into it; a negative reading means more BTC left than entered during the period. Long-term holders generally sell less readily than short-term holders, and recent outflows suggest some have taken profits.
