Sui, a layer-1 blockchain network focused on scalability and performance, is launching an artificial intelligence-powered payments system in partnership with Alibaba Cloud, a leading Chinese cloud service provider. The integration allows AI agents to pay for digital services using USDC stablecoins, with all settlements recorded directly on the Sui blockchain. Under this collaboration, Alibaba Cloud’s services are now available within Sui Agent Payments. This means that autonomous agents, such as automated software or bots, can pay for cloud or AI-related service calls in USDC without manual transaction approvals. The system enables users to set explicit spending limits, streamlining payments and facilitating continuous service access for digital agents. By moving away from traditional subscription-based models, the integration allows spending to reflect actual usage.
