Solana Has Had No Reported Major Mainnet Outage in More Than Two Years

Image: TokenPost

Solana has had no reported major mainnet outage for more than two years, but concentrated stake, hosting and software could leave many validators exposed to shared failures. Validator vote success averaged about 99.7% in 2026. Tokenized real-world assets using Solana grew from roughly $1 billion to $4.4 billion over a year, while the network processed more than $2 trillion in stablecoin volume in the first quarter of 2026. About 20 validator identities held more than one-third of active stake in the third quarter of 2026. If coordinated, that stake could prevent the remaining validators from reaching the two-thirds majority needed to finalize blocks. It would not give the group unrestricted control over user assets or allow it to rewrite finalized transactions.
