Ripple Prime has launched a new service offering 24/7 swaps on real-world assets such as equities, ETFs, metals, energy, and currencies, utilizing perpetual futures on the Hyperliquid platform. This move is aimed at expanding institutional access to blockchain-based derivatives tied to traditional assets, operating outside conventional exchange hours. The service, which allows for cross-margining and uses RLUSD as collateral, is currently under Ripple Prime’s BVI CIV license. Market maker Virtu is among the first to onboard this service, highlighting early institutional interest. This development comes as Ripple Prime seeks to enhance its institutional prime-brokerage platform, which now supports over 100 reference markets. The introduction of perpetual swaps could potentially drive increased interest in Hyperliquid, a blockchain platform known for its comprehensive offering of financial products.
