Cardano Prepares Major Upgrade to Boost Performance

Charles Hoskinson believes that Cardano will be complete after the deployment of Leios. For the network founder, this upgrade must bring the processing capacity that the blockchain still lacks. But between technical ambitions and field reality, several steps remain to be taken. It all starts with a question asked on X: Is Cardano finally finished? Charles Hoskinson answers bluntly: “After Leios, yes.” In other words, he considers that this upgrade will combine the main features he wants for the network. In his response, he notably mentions decentralized consensus, open governance, the eUTXO accounting model, the Plutus language, scaling, formal methods, several independent node implementations, and millions of ADA holders. For him, Leios therefore represents much more than a simple technical improvement.
