Cardano Founder Welcomes TRON to Midnight

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has welcomed TRON to Midnight, a privacy-focused blockchain network designed to bring confidential transactions to existing blockchain ecosystems. Hoskinson made the remark in response to a commentary from SIG Network CEO David Millar-Durrant, who announced plans to extend Midnight’s privacy technology to TRON and its payment users in December 2026. Millar-Durrant explained that SIG Network is working with Midnight to develop Nightmode, a solution that allows applications to integrate Midnight’s privacy features without leaving their existing blockchain networks. The planned integration, which already supports Ethereum, will be targeting TRON later this year. Notably, Millar-Durrant described TRON as a leading blockchain for payments. He highlighted its use for business payrolls and everyday transactions, including payments to cab drivers and service providers.
