KuCoin Nigeria Limited has received conditional Approval-in-Principle (AIP) from Nigeria's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC Nigeria) to join its Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Programme (ARIP), marking a step in the exchange's regulatory engagement in one of the world's largest cryptocurrency adoption markets. Nigeria ranks third globally in Chainalysis' 2026 Global Crypto Adoption Index , behind Brazil and the United States. The country also leads the world in domestic peer-to-peer cryptocurrency activity and cross-border crypto flows, highlighting its position in the global digital asset ecosystem. The Chainalysis report, which examines activity between July 2025 and June 2026, measures adoption across 117 countries based on cryptocurrency service flows, peer-to-peer transactions, cross-border transfers and on-chain balances.
