Crypto-Supportive Candidates Win 245 Seats in Both Chambers of Congress

Image: TokenPost

Crypto-supportive candidates won 245 seats in the 2026 congressional elections, including 226 in the House and 19 in the Senate, putting the Senate count below the votes needed to advance the CLARITY Act. The tally combines winners from both chambers. Its count of 19 crypto-supportive Senate winners does not establish how they would vote on the bill. The CLARITY Act had previously stalled in the Senate. Advancing it requires a 60-vote procedural threshold. Riza Dagoc reports on regulation, investing and the digital-asset business for TokenPost.
