The Colombian Attorney General’s Office announced the arrest of eight individuals wanted for extradition to the United States on alleged drug trafficking and money laundering charges. One of the suspects is accused of moving approximately $42 million through cryptocurrency transactions since 2018. The suspect, Nassim Orfale Vásquez , was arrested during a raid in Barranquilla. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York is seeking his extradition over his alleged involvement in a network that laundered proceeds from drug trafficking through digital assets. The investigation involves IRS-CI , the criminal investigation division of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Ocho personas fueron capturadas con fines de extradición en dos acciones de la Fiscalía, en articulación con autoridades de Estados Unidos.
