Centrifuge Adds Optional Smart-Contract Rules for Tokenized Funds

Image: TokenPost

Centrifuge added an optional smart-contract policy to its tokenized-fund software in V3.3, giving individual pools a way to encode investment mandates and limits on certain actions. The feature adds pool-level controls to a multichain fund system that has supported $3.5 billion in tokenized assets under management. Released Sept. 29, the Onchain Execution Policy lets a pool define rules for how certain actions are handled. In one example, routine actions within preset limits proceed immediately. Adding a venue, asset or counterparty is delayed 48 hours, while changing the policy is delayed seven days. Those waiting periods are examples, not universal settings. The policy is optional for each pool. Pools without one are unaffected, so the update does not require every fund on Centrifuge to use the controls.
