BitGo Stablecoin Clients Must Conduct Their Own Legal and Compliance Reviews

Image: TokenPost

Banks and other institutions using BitGo’s Stablecoin-as-a-Service must conduct their own legal and compliance reviews, even though the platform provides tools to help them issue and manage stablecoins. The service combines custody, reserve management and compliance tools with functions to mint and burn tokens. Banks, fintechs and corporations can use those functions without building each component themselves. BitGo has previously outlined its stablecoin framework for institutional clients . Its compliance tools form part of that framework, but institutions using the service must still review their own legal and compliance requirements. John Kim reports on the digital-asset business for TokenPost. Send corrections or tips to info@tokenpost.com.
