SAP Taulia Promotes Schafer to CTO as It Expands AI Focus

SAP Taulia is aligning its product and technology leadership with a push to use AI and automation in working capital management, while expanding infrastructure to bring its capabilities into customer environments. Kirsten Loegering took over as chief product officer Sept. 28 and will lead product strategy. Andrew Schafer was promoted to chief technology officer, with a focus on scaling the technology infrastructure that supports Taulia’s intelligence and execution capabilities in the systems customers use. SAP Taulia CEO Cedric Bru linked the appointments to SAP’s Autonomous Finance vision. The vision brings enterprise data and processes together so working capital can serve as a real-time strategic driver. Bru credited Schafer with helping change Taulia’s technology foundation during the prior year. Loegering has previously built and expanded enterprise product teams.
