Pi Network’s Oct. 15 Announcement Lists More Than 300 Mainnet Apps, No Usage Figures

Pi Network’s Oct. 15 summit announcement listed more than 300 Mainnet apps but provided no app-by-app usage figures. The announcement also listed more than 60 million Engaged Pioneers, more than 18.1 million fully KYC’d users and more than 420,000 nodes. Those figures describe separate parts of the network and do not count users or activity for any individual app. The app total alone does not establish that the apps are regularly used or can process payments. The summit announcement gave no app-level counts for active users, repeat visits, payments or transaction value. It also provided no measurement cutoff or period for the ecosystem figures, so they do not give a dated snapshot of app use. Launching an app on Mainnet and receiving approval to accept payments are separate steps.
