Oracle’s $664 Billion RPO Extends Across Multiple Years

Image: TokenPost

Oracle reported $664 billion in companywide remaining performance obligations as of Aug. 31, while quarterly capital expenditures exceeded operating cash flow and 13% of the balance is expected to become revenue within a year. Remaining performance obligations (RPO) are contracted revenue that a company has not yet recognized. Oracle’s total rose $209 billion from a year earlier. It also booked more than $30 billion in new AI cloud contracts during its fiscal first quarter, but the $664 billion RPO covers the company’s overall business, not AI alone. Oracle expects about 13% of its RPO to become revenue in the 12 months after Aug. 31. It expects 37% in months 13 to 36 and 34% in months 37 to 60, with the rest recognized later.
