OpenAI reports eightfold rise in EU small-business agent users

A new OpenAI economic report finds agentic tools now generate more than half of output tokens for sampled EU enterprise customers European companies are no longer just asking chatbots questions. They are handing them jobs. That is the core finding of a new OpenAI Economic Research report, which says agentic tools now produce more than 50% of output tokens among sampled EU ChatGPT Enterprise customers. Among small and medium-sized businesses, weekly active usage of those agentic features grew 8.1 times between early May 2026 and early October 2026.
