Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says quantum computers could help train AI

Image: Crypto Briefing

Huang pitches quantum machines as a source of synthetic training data built from simulated biology and chemistry Jensen Huang has a new job in mind for quantum computers: teaching AI. The Nvidia CEO says quantum machines could help train AI models by simulating biology and chemistry, then producing synthetic data from those simulations. The logic runs roughly like this. AI models learn from data, and some of the most valuable scientific data is extremely hard to collect. Nature runs on quantum mechanics. Molecules, proteins and chemical reactions behave in ways that classical computers struggle to model precisely. A quantum computer, in theory, speaks nature’s native language. If it can simulate how molecules actually behave, the outputs could become a fresh supply of training material for AI systems.
