Nine issuers have objected to a proposed tokenized stock venue run by OKXICE. Their decisions expose a narrow but consequential power in the SEC’s new trading framework: a company can stop one unaffiliated venue from carrying its shares, while other forms of tokenization continue. The October 15 public notice records the objections as the joint venture prepares a market for securities represented on a blockchain. The notice gives no launch date and does not present the companies’ individual reasons.
