Meta Removes AI Training Reference From Planned Website Crawling Terms

Image: TokenPost

Meta removed a planned reference to training from terms governing automated website access, addressing concerns that broad wording might cover news pages tied to businesses. An earlier version listed training among potential uses of material from domains, pages and URLs associated with business users. The revised terms are scheduled to take effect Oct. 30, 2026. The concern focused on what the contract might allow; it does not establish that Meta used the clause to collect news content. The removed training reference was part of Meta’s planned website-crawling terms . Riza Dagoc reports on regulation, investing and the digital-asset business for TokenPost.
