International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva warned Oct. 14 that the global economy has less capacity to absorb shocks as conflict-driven energy pressures drain fiscal and energy buffers. The IMF’s October outlook projected global growth of 3.1% in 2026 and 3.4% in 2027, with inflation at 4.7% in 2026.
