Coinbase Names Five Index Perpetual Markets for AI Agents

Coinbase on Oct. 19 named five index perpetual futures markets and perpetual contracts on more than 20 tokens for AI agent trading, giving customers a fuller list of markets available through its service. The index markets are US500, Tech100, AI10, China10 and Defense10. The five index contracts are available only in the United States. Coinbase for Agents lets customers connect an outside AI platform to their Coinbase accounts. Claude, ChatGPT and Grok are among the platforms that can connect. An agent can research markets and carry out actions within the access a customer grants it. The service launched June 11 with spot and derivatives trading. A Sept. 22 expansion added stock trading and payments for data and models.
