Vitalik Buterin integrates zkAPI and Tor for anonymous Ethereum AI agent payments

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum , has introduced an advanced framework for anonymous payments and privacy-preserving agent interactions in the Ethereum ecosystem. The initiative centers on an OpenAI-compatible agent daemon designed to process requests while erasing identifiable information through local prompt rewriting. Buterin reported that he is using the “qwen3.8-flash-next” language model for these tasks, which helps obscure stylistic and user signatures before relaying requests to external models. Every conversation managed by Buterin’s agent is assigned a dedicated Tor circuit to conceal network identity. Outbound requests are routed through Tor, and random cover traffic is introduced to disrupt timing patterns and further mask activity. This architecture aims to prevent possible correlation between user prompts, payment credentials, and network metadata.
