Ethereum staking grew on one measure during Oct. 1–30 even as more ETH was paid out through exits and requested withdrawals than arrived in deposits. Active stake counts validators securing the network; deposits and payments record movements across the staking boundary. CryptoKeyhole, an analytics provider that runs Ethereum nodes, reports 1,400,947 ETH deposited from Oct. 1 through Oct. 30 and 1,511,710 ETH paid out in its principal-withdrawn category. That leaves a net outflow of 110,763 ETH. Across the same closed-day window, active validators' effective stake rose from 35.82% to 36.09% of ETH supply. The distinction matters for investors reading a higher staked share as evidence of fresh demand or tightening liquid supply.
