Early Ethereum investor sells 3,000 ETH on Kraken for $7.23 million, gains 128x

An early Ethereum investor has moved 3,000 ETH, valued at approximately $7.23 million, to crypto exchange Kraken. According to onchain data tracked by analytics platform Lookonchain, the transfer took place on Friday. The wallet in question acquired the ETH about nine years ago at an average price of $18.83 per token, booking an estimated 128-fold profit on the original purchase price. Onchain monitoring revealed that the investor’s wallet, identified as 0xa4c2CA8d5A6f488604cA417C0aaCe8E2621F02D0 and tagged by crypto intelligence firm Arkham Intelligence, received the initial ETH funds from a Gemini hot wallet and an additional address between 2015 and 2016. Lookonchain reported that the 3,000 ETH transfer to Kraken signals the possible liquidation of the holdings.
