An unidentified whale or institution’s Ether (ETH) long had a liquidation price of $2,181 after a $9.21 million USDC margin deposit lowered it from $2,256. The top-up temporarily moved the position away from liquidation risk. ETH had fallen to $2,282 before the deposit, about $30 above the earlier liquidation level. The $75 reduction in the threshold came from added collateral, rather than a reported change in the amount of ETH held. The position contained 115,473 ETH, worth about $272.1 million. The same account also held a Bitcoin (BTC) long of 1,539.5 BTC, valued at about $124.4 million, with a liquidation price of $70,396. The two positions totaled $396.5 million. ETH made up the larger share of the combined long exposure, while the BTC position had a separate liquidation level.
